OHS TRAINING COURSES
for schools and colleges

OSHA offers to Victorian schools and colleges a wide range of OHS courses including 2-hour briefings for senior management, a one-day OHS program for school leaders (over two ½ days) and WorkSafe Victoria approved Initial (5 days) and Refresher OHS courses (1 day).

We offer discounts off our standard course fees for participants from schools and colleges and other organisations in the Victorian Education system.


Our HSR Initial OHS course is a practical and interactive 5-day course led by highly experienced trainers/ consultants.

HSRs are entitled to attend and Initial course (s. 67 - selected in consultation with their employer). But all people at schools will benefit from attending this 5-day program.

We have provided practical OHS assistance to many schools, colleges and other organisations - we can 'practice what we preach'!

Interactive 1-day workshops (focussing on work-related stress, work-related violence and work-related gendered violence - including sexual harassment) provide an overview of new and/or recent developments with the Victorian OHS legislation and reviews the role, powers and rights of HSRs.  These programs serve as useful overviews of key OHS requirements for non-HSRs such as managers and supervisors.

HSRs are entitled to attend and Initial course (as per s67 of the OHS Act; selected in consultation with their employer).


This OHS Management workshop - over two ½ days - is designed for people in leadership roles who would like to understand OHS duties and responsibilities in Victoria. School leaders who will benefit from this program include:
  • Principals/Assistant Principals
  • Business Managers
  • Executives
  • Senior Managers 
  • Team Leaders, etc

The workshop provides leaders with clear practical strategies on what to do and how to do it!

Please Note: These courses are specifically for organisations in Victoria operating under the jurisdiction of the OHS Act 2004 and not suitable for workplaces covered by Work Health & Safety Acts in the Commonwealth, other States and Territories.
