In accordance with course approval requirements of WorkSafe Victoria, all approved courses are now face-to-face (F2F) learning. Other courses may be conducted F2F or via Zoom.

(Note: HSRs have an entitlement to attend initial and refresher training if they ask to attend these courses. However it is not compulsory for HSRs to be trained. Nevertheless, WorkSafe actively encourages HSRs to take up their training entitlements.

Our HSR Initial OHS training course* is a practical and interactive 5-day course led by highly experienced trainers / consultants.
It is not just for HSRs.
HSRs are entitled to attend an Initial course (as per s67 of the OHS Act; selected in consultation with their employer). But all people in an organisation will benefit from attending this 5-day program.
We have provided practical OHS assistance to many organisations of all types and sizes - we can 'practice what we preach'!
Interactive 1-day workshops (focussing on work-related stress, work-related violence and work-related gendered violence - including sexual harassment) provide an overview of new and/or recent developments with the Victorian OHS legislation and reviews the role, powers and rights of HSRs. These programs serve as useful overviews of key OHS requirements for non-HSRs such as managers and supervisors.
After completing an initial course, HSRs are entitled to attend a refresher course for each year they hold office (as per s67 of the OHS Act; selected in consultation with their employer).

This OHS for Managers and Supervisors workshop - over four hours via Zoom and Teams - is designed to provide people in leadership roles, an overview of their OHS responsibilities and duties in Victoria, how to work with HSRs and understand the moral, legal, financial, industrial and reputational justifications of good OHS management.

* Please Note: Both Initial and Refresher courses are specifically for organisations in Victoria operating under the jurisdiction of the OHS Act 2004 and not suitable for workplaces covered by Work Health & Safety Acts in the Commonwealth, other States and Territories.
